The treatment in local cryotherapy can be performed using various methods:

1. Wraps with bags of ice or frozen gel silicone or saline.

2. Partial ice bath in water with ice.
3. Massage with ice.
4. Freezing spray irrigation.

Patient during the cryotherapy procedure feel for several seconds, paradoxically, the heat, which is the result of vasospasm. Then a rapid dilation of blood vessels (which may reach up to four times greater value than before the treatment) and acceleration of blood flow, persisting for 3-4 hours.
Congestion is even more relevant, the more significant was cooling. congestion which persist for several hours within the tissue not only promotes a better metabolism, eliminates also the accumulated but harmful products of metabolism. The effect of the treatment is prolonged heating of a section of the body, more favorable than heating energy supplied from outside. After several hours cooled decreases edema of cooled tissue, improves the flow of lymph in a lymphatic system.  The use of very low temperatures can shorten the procedure time and achieve more sustainable and more complete therapeutic effect of local cooling. This entails a significant increase of blood circulation in internal organs.
